Dermal Fillers

As skin ages, it loses elasticity and becomes less supple and loses fullness.

This results in loss of lip volume and the appearance of lines, particularly around the mouth and nose area, and the cheeks begin to look shrunken and hollow.

You may be aware of these changes and unhappy with the general volume of in some areas of your face but not liking the idea of a surgical procedure.

If this is so, then you may consider using dermal fillers to regain fullness or volume in the cheeks and lips and other areas of your face.

Dermal fillers are made from Hyaluronic Acid and are the most popular enhancement treatment for reducing facial lines and restoring plumpness and volume to the lips and cheeks, thereby redefining the shape of your face.

The treatments are safe, if gold standard products are used, and the results long lasting and natural looking.

There are, unfortunately, many substandard dermal fillers available, but we use only the highest quality brands, renowned for their superior standards and this, coupled with Dr Sant Cruz’ expertise and ‘magic hands’, ensures the finest results.

Dermal Fillers are popular non-invasive treatments that make it possible to restore volume to hollowed areas, to contour your face and to tackle fine lines and wrinkles.
Dermal Fillers can add definition to your face and are particularly effective in creating more prominent cheeks, fuller lips and a fresher smoother appearance.

Our specialist ‘8 Point Lift ‘treatment, commonly known as a’ liquid facelift’ or ‘non-surgical facelift’, can even replicate the effects of a surgical facelift without the downtime.

Areas commonly treated with Dermal Fillers are:

  • Under the eyes (Tear Trough)
  • Cheeks (create a fuller cheek or a high cheek bone look)
  • Lips (Vermillion border and lip augmentation)
  • Lip Lines (Smoker’s Lines) plumper and fuller lips
  • Nose to mouth lines (Naso-labial folds)
  • Mouth to Chin lines (Marionette lines)
  • Chin (defined chin with fillers)
  • Nose (Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty / non-surgical nose job)
    Hands
  • 8 point lift (creates a non-surgical facelift by lifting the face in the areas which sag)

Lip Augmentation

For those who are unhappy with the shape or size of their lips, temporary Dermal Fillers can provide an effective volume enhancing solution that keeps them feeling soft and natural.

A common complaint by many patients is that they dislike how thin their lips look. The Hyaluronic Acid used is revisable, meaning that a skilled practitioner has the means to define your lips with precision.
Instead of lining the lips and creating a distorted result, we enhance the ’natural pattern’ of your lips to give them an overall pleasing and full appearance.

Tear Trough

By injecting Dermal Fillers into the tear trough – which extends from your eye to divide your cheek from your lower eyelid – the area can be made to look less hollow while subtly easing dark circles under the eyes.

Tear Trough procedure treatments are very specialised and require an experienced hand to assess and perform them, especially since the treatment may not be suitable for everyone.

Tear trough filler is an advanced technique and, as such, should only be carried out by highly experienced, qualified practitioners and we are very fortunate to have Dr Santa Cruz and her extensive experience to fulfil this requirement.

The area under the eyes is assessed before treatment and Dr Santa Cruz will advise you on whether this is an effective treatment for you.
Those who are eligible will benefit from a fuller and brighter expression that will leave your face looking fresh and rejuvenated!

Treatment procedure.

Topical anaesthetic is applied to the area prior to treatment and the area cleaned.
The dermal filler is then injected into the cheek area, sometimes using a small cannula, and the area massaged to ensure a smooth result.

You will see an immediate result, but some redness, bruising, and swelling may appear which can take a day or two to clear up.
We do advise that you sleep on your back for the first 2-3 nights and avoid strenuous exercise, touching your face, applying makeup and sun exposure for 24 hours.

To maintain results, you may need a plan for additional top up treatments, but Dr Santa Cruz will discuss this with you.
